If you knew for sure that the next cigarette would be the one that makes you sick (chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cancer, heart disease, etc.), would you still choose to smoke it?

It’s a phenomenon that starts with the very first cigarette and continues every time you inhale, as cancer-causing tars are introduced into your lungs and induce diseases like the ones listed above.

The impressive number of studies and statistics now available on the harmful effects of cigarettes for your health are clear: a smoker has only one "chance" in two of dying of something else. Death from smoking also occurs sooner than expected, and to make things worse it’s usually preceded by several years where quality of life is severely reduced.
